i give up....how do you tighten the ropes...there are only three ropes and i have tried all combinations with no luck...what am i missing? none of the ropes seem to tighten with any of the combinations...any help would be appreciated

You have to tighten them very quickly.

Does not, but I think it is easier from bottom.
