Is there anything to teach upgrading and repairing. I tried to repair but will not even let me drop an item in the repair side. Same with upgrading. Cannot even drop an item.,
Also for combining. I cannot advance anymore as my gear is horrible and I need major help. If someone could help with a step by step guide it would be much appreciated....

You can repair only damaged item - then you just drag and drop it over window.

To upgrade you need proper flasks (same rank) and inhibitor, it is also good to add essence. In general upgrading is great, but cost a lot of resources - wouldn't recommend it as very start of the game.

Below you can see simple tutorial how to do this basic things: repairing and upgrading (to make it clear, because video might be misleading in the last few seconds: when you fail upgrade either it stays or resets to "0". Durability shows how big chance that item stays intact when upgrade failed).
