Main character wont log in

Context on the subject title: I was doing my quest "Grand finale" then after getting the coyote item on the ground I died from an explosion and the screen turned gray. after i respawned all npcs where gone and my screen is still gray. after logging out I can't login my main character but I can log in my alt.
